WHO WE ARE
Animals Have Hearts Too is a small but mighty nonprofit with a big mission: to protect, rescue, and uplift dogs in need. Based in Waco, Texas, we believe that every animal deserves a chance at love, safety, and a forever home. Whether it’s pulling dogs from overcrowded public shelters, helping families keep their pets during tough times, or finding the perfect match through adoption—our heart is in it all.
We’re built on compassion, fueled by community, and driven by the belief that no dog should ever be forgotten, unwanted, or unloved.

RESCUE
We save dogs at risk of being euthanized in overcrowded public shelters—but our work doesn’t stop there. We also take in dogs from neglectful situations, owner surrenders, and emergencies. Once in our care, they receive medical attention, safety, and love. Every dog is given the chance to heal, trust again, and begin the journey to a forever home.
PLACEMENT
Every animal deserves a forever home. Once rescued, we nurture each one through medical care, love, and socialization—preparing them for the perfect match. Our adoption process focuses on creating lasting, loving bonds between animals and humans.
SUPPORT
We know that sometimes families face tough seasons. Instead of surrendering their beloved pets, we offer financial assistance for food, medical care, and basic supplies—helping dogs stay in their homes where they’re already loved. It’s about keeping families together and preventing future homelessness before it starts.
