Helping Animals Together—One Home at a Time

At Animals Have Hearts, Too, we believe every animal deserves a chance—and sometimes, all it takes is a caring person to help get them started.

If you’ve found a dog or cat and are trying to keep them out of the shelter, we’re here to support you through our Good Samaritan Program. Together, we can network and promote the animal to find a safe, loving home.

What You Do (as the Good Samaritan):

• Keep the animal safe while we work together to find a home.

• Post to community pages, including:

  • Your neighborhood Facebook groups

  • Nextdoor App

  • Central Texas Lost and Found Pets

  • Heart of Texas Lost & Found

• Share clear photos and videos of the animal.

• Provide info so we can write a compelling bio:

  • Age (approximate), size, personality, temperament

  • Good with dogs? Cats? Kids?

  • Any special needs or notes

  • Where the animal is located

• Be available to show the animal to potential adopters.

What We Do (at Animals Have Hearts, Too):

• Post the animal’s story on our website and social media

• Help write a great bio to get the animal noticed

• Cross-promote through our rescue network

• Offer guidance on safe rehoming and adoption

• Share your posts to give them even more visibility

  This program works best when we work together. We may not always be able to bring the animal into foster right away, but your efforts can be the reason they find a loving forever home.
